Dragon Tamerlane for Sale:

1976 Glass fibre Borreson built boat, believe that she is one of the first glass fibre boats from Borreson the foremost Dragon builder in Denmark. Asking £7,500

She is equipped as follows:-

A Nordic mast and boom both five years old.
The rigging is three years old though the boat was not used in 2010
She has a Petticrow spinnaker boom which is four years old plus a further much older spinnaker boom which I use as a spare
There are 3 manual pumps, one main one in the stern plus one port and obne starbord
harken blocks throughout
Anchor, chain and anchor ropes
Tow sets of sales, one old, one newer and there is a brand new main
The main genoa system is four years old.
Depth sounder
There used to be an early Harken winchless system in place which was basically broken. This has now been removed and replaced with winches.
I have found this to be much better and easier to maintain
She has a fairly new cockpit cover plus a bow cover and boom cover
The trailer is not in good order abd I have tried to reflect this in the price.
All tweeking ststems are in good order and working.
The spinnaker shute system is three years old.

Dragon Quicksilver for Sale:

As advertised on BDA website price £ 6,500 including TRAILER, all over winter COVER, spare mast [ identical to Boyce in use ], spare rigging [ old ] Some very acceptable sails [ 2 sets ].

Trailer is double axle , over-run braked on all wheels. Constructed in steel and heavy by modern alloy standards

I bought Quicksilver in 1992 when she was 5 yrs old, (1987). Very compeditive , having had DK 38 the oldest Dragon in UK. From a fleet of 3 we built up over the years to 13. I stopped racing regularly in 1998 when I launched my cruising boat. She had a few years under cover in a barn and mostly just raced Falmouth Week, and a couple of Gold Cups and Edinburgh Cups. Thus the rigging although mostly dating from '98 is still acceptable by my surveyor.

I now wish to spend more time cruising. See Pic HERE
