Glandore Harbour Yacht Club in West Cork offers a sailing and training programme for Cruisers, Keelboats and Dinghies between May and September. Membership is growing, new members are always welcome. Our unofficial Clubhouse is the Glandore Inn, you will find us there after sailing most Sunday afternoons from May to September. Glandore Harbour offers visitor moorings and is the gateway to West Cork Cruising.

The Club Schools programme which involves getting the pupils from the three harbour national schools of Glandore Leap and Union hall out on the water during the month of June finished last week just before the start of the Summer Holidays.

There were more then 50 children from the local schools who got the opportunity to go sailing in June. This is now established as an end of term event that many look forward to. This year the sailing was organised by Debbie Bendon. James Bendon and Claire Hayes were the instructors. gthe weather was brilliant for all but one of the days! The even was pictured in the Examiner.

 

This week the ISA Sailing Courses begin and will continue until mid August.

 

Club racing will begin for cruisers and Keel boats in mid june and Calendar will be published provisionally in the next week..
